JILINO1 Paylines Read in Order: What Is a Payline, Then How Ways Differ

What is a payline? It is one set route across the reels, and matching symbols lined up on that route win. Plenty of modern slots have dropped paylines altogether and count “ways” instead, while scatters ignore both systems and pay wherever they fall. All three show up in the JILINO1 lobby’s slot list, so this article reads one spin through each, using figures from JILI’s and PG Soft’s own game pages.
What is a payline, spin by spin
- Spin 0, the paytable. Open the info screen and find the line or ways count. JILI prints it as “Paylines” on its pages; fishing tables read 0 there, because nothing lines up.
- The spin lands. On a line game, the machine checks each line from the leftmost reel. Matching symbols in a row along one line, from the left, pay that line’s prize once they reach the minimum count the paytable names.
- The win is counted. Several lines can pay on one spin. Their prizes are added together into the spin’s result.
- The scatter check. Separately, the game counts scatters anywhere on the grid. Enough of them starts the feature, whatever the lines did.
Where it usually stalls: at step 2. A player sees three matching symbols on the screen, but not along one line, and expects a payout that the paytable never promised.
JILINO1 paylines and ways, side by side
| Game (studio) | Grid | Lines or ways | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crazy 777 (JILI) | 3 reels | 1 payline | 3333x |
| Money Coming (JILI) | 3x3 | 1 line | 10000x |
| Fortune Gems (JILI) | 3x3 | 5 paylines | 375x |
| Boxing King (JILI) | 5x5 | 88 paylines | 2000x |
| Super Ace (JILI) | 5x4 | 1024 ways | 10000x |
| Mahjong Ways 2 (PG Soft) | 5x4, extra row on reels 2-4 | 2,000 ways | 100000x |
| Mega Ace (JILI) | 6x6 | 46656 ways | 1500x |
| Golden Empire (JILI) | 6 reels | 32400 megaways, changing each spin | 2000x |
Ways to win and paylines, explained
Ways are just multiplication. Count the symbol positions on each reel and multiply them: four on each of five reels makes 1,024, six on each of six makes 46,656, and Mahjong Ways 2, with five positions on its three middle reels and four on the outer two, reaches 2,000. On Golden Empire the reel heights shift from spin to spin, which makes 32,400 the most it can offer rather than what every spin offers.
Scatters and other symbols that skip the lines
Position does not matter to a scatter. Mahjong Ways from PG Soft opens free spins with 3 of them, 12 spins plus 2 for every scatter beyond three, and Lucky Neko needs 4 for its round of 10 or more. Wilds work differently, filling a gap in a line or a way by substituting for the missing symbol.
Red flags to watch for
- “More lines means you win more.” More lines or ways usually means more frequent small hits; Mega Ace’s 46,656 ways sit beside a 1500x ceiling, below the 10000x of 1-line Money Coming.
- A spin cost multiplied by the line count. Check whether your stake is per spin or per line before raising it.
- A scatter “due” after a dry run. Each spin is independent; 200 spins without a trigger make spin 201 no more likely.
- An RTP quoted for a JILI title. The studio’s own pages carry no such number, so whoever printed it made or borrowed it.
Line counts feed straight into slot volatility in a peso session and the six checks for choosing a slot. Scatter, wild and the promotion words around them are defined in the twelve-term casino glossary. How to Get Started: Three Timed Stages
-
Open the paytable before spin one
On the game's info screen, find whether it pays on a stated number of lines or on ways, and how many; that single line explains most of what follows.
-
Check how the stake is split
See whether your total stake covers every line or way automatically, so you know a ₱10 spin on 88 lines is still one ₱10 bet.
-
Find the scatter rule
Read how many scatters start the feature and whether they also pay on their own; that number differs between games that look alike.
