Where it stalls: a player reads the help page, sends money by a route the cashier no longer accepts, and then waits for a bonus tied to a deposit that never posted.
GCash promo wording after the BSP memorandum
The GCash Help Center is blunt about it: GCash is “not a gaming app”, and access is something players must sort out with gaming merchants. Anyone with gaming money still sitting in a wallet is sent to the merchant’s own website and channels to get it out, with the merchant deciding the minimum. What a JILINO1 Wallet-Linked Promotion Still Needs
The one channel-named item on the list is tied to PayMaya and GoTyme. Its body asks members to deposit through those channels and join, prints a bonus and a maximum winnings figure, and repeats the usual closing rules.
- The route has to exist for you. Maya lists Lucky Games as off since 16 August 2025, the same day as the GCash change, and directs players to cash in through the provider instead. Check that the cashier offers the channel before you plan around the item.
- The deposit has to arrive through it. A top-up through another rail does not qualify an item that names a channel.
- The cap still applies. Balance over the maximum withdrawal is taken off when the item closes, and CQ9 Fishing credits have to reach the Promotion Wallet before that.

Red Flags in a GCash Promo Message
- “Send to this GCash number to claim.” A transfer to a personal number never passes through an account’s cashier, and nothing ties it to a promotion.
- A link that opens the GCash app’s Games section. GCash’s Help Center says the in-app Games service is gone.
- “BSP-approved casino promo.” The memorandum suspends gambling access inside payment apps; nowhere does it approve a casino offer.
